Common wasp
Wasps live in nests of around 5,000 worker wasps, queens and males. Queens and males reproduce and the males die soon after. Workers, born to a life of drudgery, look after the queen, her continuous off-spring and the nest from the time they emerge from larvae in Spring through to late summer when they leave the nest in search of some sweet booty. The nest then breaks up and the invasion of our homes and gardens begins. New queens will by now have been fertilised and they find a cosy spot to over-winter before emerging to start a new nest in Spring. The workers are unable to sustain themselves through winter and will generally die.
For effective protection
Vape Wasp & Fly Killer aerosol with dual nozzle spray head delivers a fine spray of insecticide particles surrounding the wasp in flight, ensuring fast knock-down whilst using less insecticide.
Contains: Bioresmethrin 0.015% w/w and S-Bioallethrin 0.069% w/w. Always ready the label; use pesticides safely. Vape Wasp Nest Powder can be used on nests out of doors (in accordance with label instructions) but always seek professional advice for nests in confined spaces such as lofts and sheds. Contains Bendiocarb 0.5%. Always read the label; use pesticides safely. For a non-insecticidal alternative, a Vape Ecological Wasp Trap with bait will attract wasps in a garden from up to 20 feet away (keeping them away from you).
