Common housefly
Found breeding all over the world anywhere where rubbish or decaying organic matter is present. Their potential reproductive capacity is tremendous. An adult fly has a very short life span but as many as 10 to 12 generations may appear in just one summer. Houseflies are attracted to all food material but can only ingest liquids. They visit decaying matter including dung and carrion where they can pick up bacteria and viruses. If saliva is regurgitated onto food for human consumption, disease and viruses can be transmitted. All homes will be visited by flies during the summer months and care should be taken to never leave food material exposed.
For effective protection
Vape Super KO2 Fly & Mosquito Insecticide Spray with a double nozzle spray head diverges tiny droplets of insecticide surrounding the fly in flight, giving fast knockdown but using less insecticide.
Contains Bioresmethrin 0.015% w/w and S-Bioallethrin 0.069% w/w. Always read the label; use pesticides safely.
Fly traps based on a non-insecticidal attractant, fly papers and sticky traps are also available from the Vape range.
